Macbook AppleCare: Hairline Cracks Covered by AppleCare But Only if They Are on the Bottom of the Case

AppleCare Lesson 2: MacBook Hairline Cracks
The resident Genius told me the hairline cracks are covered by AppleCare because they are on the bottom of the case. I guess they are not covered if on the top of the shell. My AppleCare for the MacBook runs out next month (it turns 3 years old!). So, I’m glad I read about and noted the hairline cracks before it ran out. I’ll be Macbook-less for the next 7 to 10 working days.
