Snow Leopard Issues? Safari 4 & Google Spreadsheet Cut/Paste Not Working Properly

September 7th, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

I update my main Mac this past weekend to OS X 10.6 (old MacBook got updated the day Snow Leopard came out). I noticed a problem with Google Docs’ spreadsheet that I didn’t notice previously. Here’s what I did:

- Go to docs.google.com in Safari 4
- Open an existing spreadsheet
- Cut 7 rows and paste it to a new area of the same sheet

The result was an unexpected mess that pasted more rows than I cut. And, the cell formats were completely different. This problem does not happen when using the same spreadsheet in Firefox on the same Mac.

I can’t even _view_ my spreadsheets anymore with 10.6.1 and Safari. -Rob

I am having a similar problem with Cut, Copy and Paste on my OS X 10.6 when I try to do it using the Command + alphabet key. The Copy and Cut function works but the Paste (Command + V) does not work with any program including TextEdit I can do it through the Edit menu.

Tried different keyboards, Blue Tooth as well as USB, on my computer and Command + V never works. Used my keyboard on the store’s computer and it works. I guess the problem is with the computer or the operating system, not the keyboard.
